About Us:

Helping to Spread the Love of Machine Knitting through Collaboration

 

The Midwest Machine Knitters’ Collaborative, MMKC, was established in 2011 to help share the joy of machine knitting. We envisioned the Collaborative as a way to connect with other machine knitters who like to think (and knit!) outside the box. MMKC provides a forum to promote fun, interest, appreciation, education, inspiration, and camaraderie in the art of machine knitting.

Whether you are actively machine knitting; have a machine laying dormant, under the bed; have received a machine and have no idea what to do with it; or are interested in buying your first knitting machine: we are the group for you!

 

Our Founders laid a solid foundation for our future growth…MMKC is based upon the tenets of:

Share your successes and challenges so that we can all become better knitters. Let's work together to support and achieve our personal MK goals - whether to learn to knit a simple scarf or to create an original knitwear design.

MMKC is a public charity under section 501(C)(3). If you are looking to donate new or used equipment or yarn, please be in touch. We would be happy to make arrangements to pick up within the Twin Cities and surrounding suburbs. Your donation will help further our mission. We will also supply you with a 501(C)(3) tax-compliant donation receipt.
